I have a Post-Graduate diploma in Person Centred Counselling from the University of Aberdeen. My counselling experience has been in a GP practice where I work with clients who have many different issues from anxiety, depression, family and relationship issues, drug and alcohol misuse, and grief. I also completed a training course for working with children and young people at the University of Strathclyde and at the moment, I volunteer at the local secondary school.
My background is in healthcare and I worked for many years in radiography (specialising in mammography) both in the UK and overseas. On returning, I volunteered with local charities supporting families with young children and also a cancer support service which led me to seek a way to develop a deeper understanding in how to help people more personally.
